An article in the May 14 – 20, 2012, edition of Bloomberg Businessweek on page 18 by
Anna-Louise Jackson and Anthony Feld “Hotels
Are Hiring as Americans Hit the Road” points out that many hotels are becoming
busy as Americans resume their travels. After

So what jobs are available? There
is a wide variety of job openings. Many of the jobs pay low wages and few
benefits; however, there are also paths to managerial positions. Many properties provide training for new
employees. Hotel operators are always
looking for individuals who know how to treat travelers and vacationers. A welcoming smile and a pleasant greeting is what
all individuals appreciate when they are seeking shelter for the night.

Almost all major hotel chains have websites posting their open
positions. If you enjoy meeting and
working with people, perhaps a job in a hotel is for you!

in the hospitality industry.
