Personality and Occupation



I am presently teaching an MBA course, Organizational Behavior.  The chapter discussing personality and values made the following relationship points:

The closer the occupational fields to ones personality type, the more compatible and perhaps the more successful one is

The further apart the fields, the more dissimilar, the less compatibility and perhaps the less successful one is

A diagram representing the personality types is shown below:

Perhaps job seekers should consider their personality type as they are seeking employment.  What do you think?  Is there a relationship between being in a successful career and your personality?
